Antique J W Benson Sterling Silver Pocket Watch London c.1890–1910 Restoration Piece

Antique J W Benson Sterling Silver Pocket Watch London c.1890–1910 Restoration Piece

Antique open-face pocket watch by J. W. Benson, London, dating to the late Victorian / early Edwardian period. The case is sterling silver, confirmed by the lion passant hallmark. This is not silver plate.
White enamel dial with Roman numerals, sub-seconds at 6, and blued steel hands. The dial is original and shows a small circular blemish on the enamel (see photos), likely from age or a past repair. Does not affect function but should be noted.
Swiss-made mechanical movement signed J. W. Benson. The movement runs when wound manually at the main wheel. The crown and stem are not currently engaging the winding mechanism, so it cannot be wound normally and will require service. This is a known, repairable issue in watches of this age.

Case, hinges, and covers are intact. Overall a solid, honest example suitable for a collector, restoration, or display piece. Sold as-is.
