Antique Sheffield Carving Set Harrison Bros & Howson Oxford Cutlers Cambridge

Antique Sheffield Carving Set Harrison Bros & Howson Oxford Cutlers Cambridge

Antique English carving set made by Harrison Bros & Howson of Sheffield, a well-established 19th-century cutlery manufacturer. This set was retailed by Oxford Cutlers of Cambridge, as indicated by the secondary stamp on the main blade.

Set includes:
- Large carving knife (9" blade, approx. 14.5" overall length)
- Two-prong carving fork
- Sharpening steel

Blades are Sheffield steel and remain very sharp. Handles appear to be natural horn or stag, consistent with period examples. Set is housed in its original fitted wooden case with velvet lining. Case shows age-appropriate wear and patina.

This is a late Victorian to early Edwardian period serving set, intended for table carving rather than hunting use. All pieces appear original and matched.
