Pair of cast metal bookends featuring a theatrical relief scene with a seated figure beneath draped curtains. The reverse of each bookend is etched with Shakespeare references including The Merchant of Venice, Hamlet, Much Ado About Nothing, Macbeth, Othello, and Taming of the Shrew, along with dates 1564–1616. Each bookend measures approximately 4 inches tall. All pieces shown are included. Condition is used. Metal surfaces show age related wear, patina, oxidation, and surface loss consistent with vintage decorative metal items. Edges and bases remain intact. Bookends stand upright and function as intended.
